Hindu activist arrested on charges of beating up students at Pilikula

Mangaluru, Jan 02, 2018 : Hindu activist was arrested on charges of beating up college students  who were on a picnic at the Manasa Water Park at Pilikula  on January 02, Tuesday.

 

The arrested activistis idetifed as Sampath Shetty(25) of Moodashedde.A Hindu Jagarana Vedike activist.


It is said that students of three different faiths were enjoying the picnic, the Hindu activists  surrounded them and began thrashing them. Based on the incident, Melcy Serrao had booked a complaint against the activists at Kavoor police station.


Samapth Shetty has been taken to custody.
