Belthangady, July 2024: Holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in Belthangady and Bantwal taluks on July 4 by the Tahsildar due to heavy rains.

The holiday has been announced as a precautionary measure in the wake of reports that children from rural areas have to cross overflowing water streams to reach their schools.
