Honey bee attack: Over 10 students of Kakkinje school injured

Belthangady, February 19, 2025: Over ten students of the Kakkinje Government Higher Primary School sustained injuries after a swarm of bees attacked them while they were returning to their classrooms after the morning prayers on Tuesday morning.

The school headmistress and other teachers immediately took measures to close the doors and windows to prevent the bees from entering. Still over ten students were stung by the bees. The students were later rushed to a private hospital.

On Monday too there was a bee attack when the SDMC President Abdul Khader was injured. The school was closed for the day and was reopened on Tuesday when the bees attacked again. On Tuesday, a holiday was declared again.
