How to tackle molesters? Demo boosts morale of young girls

Udupi, Jan19,2013: It was an attempt to instill confidence among young women and boost their morale.

 

A demonstration on the art of self-defence for women, in the backdrop of the rising cases of atrocities on women in the recent times,  was witnessed by hundreds of  students in front of MGM College of Udupi on January 18, Friday. 

 

 

 

 

 

The credit should go to Karate Master Praveen G Suvarna and his team which took the initiative and demonstrated the techniques which would help women defend themselves and also escape from kidnappers, chain snatchers as well as molesters.

A team of ten men and women demonstrated the techniques before the students who seemed visibly thrilled. The demonstration highlighted the need for women to learn Karate, the art of self-defence which comes in handy in times of distress.
