INS Kolkata carrying 40 MT oxygen from Kuwait arrives at New Mangalore Port

Mangaluru, May 10, 2021:       INS Kolkata  carrying 40 metric tonnes of Oxygen  filled in ISO tanks, arrived from Kuwait at the New Mangalore Port at 2 pm on May 10, Monday. This is the first consignment of Covid relief materials from Kuwait that reached India. Kuwait has already made a commitment to provide oxygen tanks, concentrators to  India.

On Monday,  Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra, Mangaluru North MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty and others received INS Kolkata at the Port. NMPT Chairman N V Ramana, Coast Guard DIG Venkatesh,  Assistant Commissioner Madan Mohan and others were present.

Two more ships will  bring four  oxygen containers  and the same are expected to arrive on Tuesday.
