Influencer stopped from making reel on beach in Udupi wearing bikini

Udupi, August 30, 2024: An influencer was allegedly stopped by police while filming a reel in a bikini at Padukere Beach.
The woman posted about the incident on her Instagram, claiming that police refused to let her continue filming because she was "indecently" dressed. The incident reportedly took place on Thursday evening.
In her post, Khyati Shree explained that she and her husband were at Malpe Beach to film an Instagram reel. While her husband was recording her in a bikini, two policemen approached, saying that some people nearby were objecting to her attire.
She said they left shortly after, feeling unsafe as their altercation attracted a crowd.
Commenting on the incident, Dr. K Arun, SP of Udupi, stated, "The public lodged a complaint with the police, reporting that a young man and woman were behaving indecently on the Blue Flag beach at Padubidri. ASI and personnel on duty responded to the scene, informed the couple about the nearby residential area, and asked them to leave the beach. No untoward incident occurred. We have contacted the woman and encouraged her to voice any grievances she may have. If we receive a complaint from her, appropriate action will be taken as per the law."
