Insta reels on Daiva: Hyderabad woman offers Tappu Kanike to Dharmasthala shrine

Belthangady, Nov 04, 2022: Shwetha Reddy from Hyderabad who had recently drawn a lot of flak on social media for her Instagram reels wherein she had donned the attire of a Daiva similar to  the scene in the super hit movie ’Kantara’ has tendered an apology to Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala and later received his blessings. She also offered fine or Tappu Kanike to the Dharmasthala Temple.

 

Later, speaking to media persons, Shwetha said she had wrongly believed that the Yakshagana character and Daiva character were the same. She said she came to know of her mistake only after she received a lot of criticism and later deleted the video. She said  she is apologizing to all Daiva worshippers.
