International symposium on aesthetic dentistry held at Nitte University

Mangaluru, Feb 18, 2023: The A B Shetty Memorial Institute Dental Sciences, Nitte, DU conducted an  International symposium on aesthetic dentistry on the 3b’s– bioaesthetics, biofunction and biometric restorative dentistry on Friday, 17th February 2023 from 9 onwards at Vimshathi Bhavan, ABSMIDS. 

 

 

Renowned Resource Persons across the world from  Prof.(Dr.) Desigar Moodley from South Africa, Prof.(Dr.) Stephen Lampl from Sweden,  Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Mehta from Japan. The Hall was packed to the brim with over 300 Staff, Postgraduate Students and Interns from various Dental Colleges in Mangalore attending  the scientific extravaganza. Prof. Dr. Krishna Nayak, Principal & Dean, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences delivered the welcome address and stated that this is certificate course is one of a kind with its multidisciplinary approach and mentioned the demand for aesthetic dentistry since aesthetics play a vital role in one’s life in boosting their self-confidence, making aesthetic dentistry is a boon to mankind.

The keynote speakers Prof.(Dr.) Desigar Moodley, Prof.(Dr.) Stephen Lampl and Prof.(Dr.) Deepak Mehta were felicitated as a mark of appreciation and gratitude. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest for the day, Prof.(Dr.) Moksha Nayak, Principal, KVG Dental College and Hospital, Sullia. She stated that the importance of aesthetic dentistry is not just limited to aesthetic beauty; stating it is not just about getting a perfect smile, but it will also improve the overall oral health. Prof.(Dr.) Aditya Shetty, Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics delivered the vote of thanks. Prof.(Dr.)  Aditya Shetty and Dr.Raksha Bhat from the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics co-ordinated the program.
