Jammer installation in district prison results in mobile network issues

Mangaluru, February 22, 2025: The process of installing jammer in the district prison in Mangaluru on an experimental basis is presently underway. This process led to network issues in several places of the city on Friday irking citizens. Network issues affected PVS circle, Bunts Hostel area, Nantur, Ladyhill and other places.

Initially people suspected this as an issue of the mobile service providers and it was only later that they came to know that the problem cropped up due to installation of jammers in the prison.
