Jewellery worth Rs 4 lakhs stolen during bus journey

Kaup, October 9, 2024: Gold worth lakhs of rupees was stolen from the bag in possession of a female passenger while travelling in a bus from Bengaluru.

The theft took place during night travel on October 5 from Bengaluru. The passenger Amoolya Sukesh from Koppalangady had  placed the bag of jewels near her legs while travelling. However the jewellery was missing from the bag once she returned home. The value of the stolen gold is estimated at Rs 4.81 lakh. A complaint has been lodged at Kaup police station.
