Jewelry worth Rs. 62,000 stolen from Roshni Jewelers

Mangalore, Apr 15, 2012: Jewelry worth Rs. 62,000 has been stolen from a jewelry store at Central Market on April 14 Saturday. 


Reportedly, four men and a woman arrived at Roshni Jewelers at 12:15 p.m. and said that they wanted to purchase anklets. When the salesgirl went in to get the anklets, one of the men stole a tray of gold rings. The group then quietly escaped without catching anybody’s attention.

The salesgirl and Rajeshan Kurdekar, the owner of the shop, realized that the rings were missing only when the gang had left. 


CCTV footage has confirmed not only the theft, but also the identity of the thieves. 


The gang stole 52 rings weighing 25gms and worth Rs. 62,000.
A case has been registered at the Bunder Police Station.
