Justice KS Hegde hospital launches state-of-the-art Robotic Surgery

Mangaluru, January 21, 2025: Justice KS Hegde Charitable Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Mangalore, has announced the launch of its advanced robotic surgery program, marking a significant milestone in surgical care for the region. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the U.S.-based da Vinci surgical robot, renowned as the world’s most advanced surgical robotic platform. It enables surgeons to perform complex procedures with unparalleled precision, visualization, and control, ensuring minimal pain, reduced blood loss, faster recovery, and smaller scars. The hospital’s robotic surgery capabilities span multiple specialties, including urology, oncology, gynecology, gastrointestinal, and general surgery.

Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor (Administration) Mr. Vishal Hegde, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Moodithaya, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Harsha Halahalli, and other senior officials.

The hospital’s skilled robotic surgery team, led by Coordinator Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev T. P., includes Prof. (Dr.) K. R. Bhagawan, Prof. (Dr.) Sripad G. Mehandale, Prof. (Dr.) Lakshmi Manjeera, Dr. Vinay Kumar Rajendra, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. Praveen Bhat, Dr. Suraj Hegde, and Dr. Narendra Pai.
