KPCC Working President Saleem Ahmed demands Rs 25 lakh compensation to Jaleel family

Mangaluru, Dec 27, 2022: MLC and KPCC Working President Saleem Ahmed  has blamed the government for the murder of Jaleel at Suratkal and added that the failure of law and order situation as well as intelligence failure  is responsible for such incident.

Addressing a press meet at the Congress Office on December 26, Monday he demanded a compensation of Rs 25 lakh from the government to the family of Jaleel and urged the government not to be biased in compensation issues.

He said internal survey has revealed a lead for the Congress in 130 assembly seats and added that the party wants to increase it to over 150. The party will hold an awareness yatra in all 224 constituencies, he said adding a KPCC team will come to Mangaluru on January 22.

District Congress Chief Harish Kumar, KPCC Backward Classes Cell President Madhu Bangarappa, former MLC Ivan D’Souza and other party leaders were present.
