KSRTC bus services affected as strike enters second day

Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2020:    The  strike by   KSRTC bus drivers and conductors has greatly affected KSRTC services  even in Dakshina Kannada district with most of the long distance buses from Mangaluru halting operations.

 

Though many buses had resumed buses  from the Mangaluru bus stand of KSRTC in the morning, there has been  disruption in service  later on.  

KSRTC drivers and conductors have been on a strike since yesterday demanding their inclusion in the government payrolls and also  to treat them on par  with government employees. The KSRTC employees are also demanding a compensation of Rs 30 lakh to the families of transport workers who died during Covid duty.
