Kadaba: 16 year old boy dies as bike hits culvert

Kadaba, January 18, 2025: A 16 year old boy died after the bike he was riding went out of his control and rammed into a culvert at Gargaspal near Peradka of Noojibaltila village on the Dharmasthala-Subrahmanya State Highway on Friday.

The deceased is Ashish, son of Vishwanath. He was a tenth standard student of a local private school. He was on way to school in his bike when tragedy struck. Though local residents immediately rushed him to hospital his life could not be saved.

While locals pointed towards the unscientific construction of the culvert at the site of the accident, many even expressed displeasure over the fact that the boy was allowed to ride a bike to school despite being just 16. Kadaba Tahsildar has even issued instructions to the police to initiate action against any parents who are found to be allowing their underage children to drive vehicles.
