The accused are Sudarshan Gelgody, Prashanth Kolya, Tammu Kalkadi and Prasad Kolya.

Uppinangady Ramanagar resident Kavya along with her friend Samsheena had  been to the  latter’s house in an autorickshaw. A local autorickshaw driver Sudarshan who noticed them going in an auto told others that Samsheena’s brother Ziyad had taken a Hindu girl along with him.  When many learnt about this,  some Parivar activists reportedly barged into Samsheena’s house at Kudlur and created a ruckus.

Though the issue was then settled through talks by the police, later following  alleged threats to Ziyad by some youth, Samsheena lodged a complaint at Kadaba police station.
