Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat to inaugurate VHP’s Shobha Yatra in Mangaluru on Monday

Mangaluru, Oct 8, 2023: Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat to inaugurate the Shobha Yatra on Monday, October 9th, coinciding with the ongoing Shourya Jagarana Rathayatra’s arrival in Mangaluru.

Speaking to the press on Saturday, L.K. Purushottam, the President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) Mangaluru district, revealed that the Shourya Jagarana Yatra is scheduled to enter Mangaluru at 9 a.m. in Adyar. Following this, at 2.30 p.m., Mr. Bhat will flag off the Shobha Yatra, which will proceed from Ambedkar Circle to Kadri Maidan in the city.

Mr. Purushottam added that the Shobha Yatra will feature floats honoring freedom fighters, all of which have received the necessary permissions from the city police for their display.

A public meeting is planned at Kadri Maidan at 4 p.m., chaired by VHP Pranta working president M.B. Puranik. The keynote speaker for the event will be the renowned orator Chakravathy Sulibele.

Shivanand Mendon, VHP Mangaluru district secretary, Giridhar Shetty, Bhujanga Kulal and others were present at the press meet.
