Kalotsava 2013 inaugurated at Mahalasa Art Gallery

Mangalore, Mar 6, 2013: Art enthusiast Naina Fernandes inaugurated the annual art exhibition and cultural programme ‘Kalotsava – 2013’ at Mahalasa Art Gallery on March 6, Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that Art is a powerful medium to express oneself. This exhibition is an opportunity for Mangaloreans  to encourage artists, she added.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 She said   she will encourage artistes by helping them  sell their art works to interior decorators and builders. Taranath Kairangala, art teacher was the chief guest. N S Pattar, Lecturer, Mahalasa Art School welcomed the gathering. Dr Kedige Aravind Rao, President of Lions Club presided over the event.

Over one hundred art works  and portraits done by 80 students of Mahalasa Art School are displayed at the exhibition.
