Karkala: Driver seriously injured as bus rams into tipper

Karkala, July 24, 2023: The driver of a private bus sustained serious injuries in a collision between the bus and a tipper at Jarkala near Karkala on July 24, Monday morning.

 

The mishap took place near the Basti School when the bus driver tried to overtake a KSRTC bus. The private bus was on way to Karkala from Udupi when the driver’s haste to overtake the KSRTC bus resulting in his bus ramming into a tipper.

The front portion of the bus has been badly damaged. The injured driver has been rushed to the hospital. Other passengers in the bus sustained minor injuries.
