Karkala: Father, 3 kids among 4 dead in bike-lorry collision

Karkala, October 1, 2024: Four members of a family including three children lost their lives in a horrific collision between a two-wheeler and a mini lorry at Hosmaru Pajegudde on the Karkala-Dharmasthala-Subrahmanya Highway on September 30, Monday.

The deceased are Suresh Acharya (36), his children Sameeksha (7), Sushmitha (5) and Sushanth(2). Suresh Acharya’s wife Meenakshi (32) who is critically injured has been rushed to the Karkala Government Hospital.

The deceased hailed from Nallur village and were heading towards Nallur from Venoor when tragedy struck. An overtaking attempt is learnt to have led to this horrific crash.
