Karkala: Goods tempo fatally knocks down pedestrian

Karkala, October 26, 2024: A pedestrian who was standing on the roadside lost his life after he was knocked down by a goods vehicle near a bridge at Guddeyangady in Ajekar on Saturday morning.

The deceased is Asai Thambi (21). The goods vehicle of a courier company was speeding towards Hebri and veered to the right side of the road resulting in the mishap. The vehicle also overturned after it rammed into the pedestrian.

It is learnt the driver was in a state of slumber resulting in the mishap. A case has been registered in Ajekar police station.
