Karkala: Home nurse accused of cheating through fraudulent money transfer

Karkala, December 12, 2024: A complaint has been lodged in Karkala town police station accusing  two men of fraudulently transferring lakhs of rupees after gathering information about Google Pay PIN of a person in whose house they worked as home nurse.

A person named Karthik had joined work in the residence of Shashidhar of Karkala as a Home Nurse through a firm owned by Ratnaker. On November 9, Ratnaker had handed over a cash of Rs 10,000 to Shashidhar asking him to Google Pay it to Karthik’s account. It is alleged Ratnaker managed to learn the PIN of Shashidhar during this time. Later  Shashidhar lost Rs 9.8 lakhs which was in his account due to fraudulent transfer allegedly by Ratnaker between November 10 and December 8.

Further investigations are in progress.
