Karkala: Progressive farmer shoots himself dead

Karkala, Sep 14, 2022: A progressive farmer reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead with his country gun at Tellaru in Durga village of Karkala on September 14, Wednesday morning.

 

The deceased is Neelebettu Bhasker Hegde (63). He had killed himself when his wife  was in the kitchen preparing tea. As she rushed out on hearing the gun sound,  Hegde was lying in a pool of blood.

Financial problem is suspected to be the cause of the extreme step. Further investigations are in progress.
