Mangalore, Mar 25: “Samskruthi Sambrama,” a 3-day cultural programme organized by Karnataka Samskruthika Prathistan was inaugurated at Town Hall on March 25, Thursday by singer Sharanya and dancer Ananya. Harikrishna Punaroor, the former president of the Kannada Sahitya Parishad, presided over the event.
IGP Gopal B Hosur of the Western Range said that a police officer’s job is fraught with tension, which is relieved only while participating in such cultural programmes. He expressed his appreciation of politicians who support the police and make their work easier.
Sudharatna K S, the film artist, and Sathish Baikampady, the social worker, were felicitated for their various contributions to society.
Ramdas Gowda S of KSPS; Commandant N M Hussain; Deputy Commission of Excise Department; Principal of SDM Law College Dr B K Ravindra; Assistant Professor of NITK Dr. Shanthi Thailagam; and President of Karnataka Samskruthi Prathistana Gangadhar Padubidri were present during the occasion.
