Kasargod, July 29, 2020: Bekal police have issued a look out notice for a murder accused man from Ajjavara in Sullia who had escaped while being escorted to Kasargod after producing him before a court in Sullia a year ago. The absconding accused is Abdul Azeez (32). He is an accused in the case of murder of a woman called Zubaida in Ayambara of Bekal police station limits two and half years ago.
Kasargod police have also announced a reward of Rs 2 lakhs to anyone helping in his arrest or furnishing information regarding his whereabouts.
A woman named Zubaida was found murdered at Ayambara on January 19, 2018. In connection with this case, apart from Abdul Azeez police had also arrested Madhur resident Abdul Khader, Padanna resident Azeez and another person named Harshad. Meanwhile, Abdul Azeez was produced at a Sullia court in connection with hearing of a case in Sullia a year ago. During the return journey he had managed to managed to escape. As the police could not trace him even after a year a lookout notice has now been issued. Posters with his photograph have been pasted at prominent places in Kerala and Karnataka.
