Kasargod : Cops nab 3 drug peddlers after hot chase

Kasargod, March 13, 2013 :  Arrest of drug  peddlers and drug traffickers have become the order of the day. In another latest case,a major one, police in  Kasargod have arrested three persons with 54 kg of ganja on March 12, Tuesday, after a hot chase

The arrested are Abdul Lathif (40) of K K Pura, Talangere, Kalandar Shafi (22) of Kaikamba, Uppala, and Haris of Talangere.

A Tata Sumo which failed to stop as per the instructions of the police at Kandadka, was given a chase and intercepted near Soorlu when the three were apprehended.

On inspection 54 kg of ganja was found hidden in the vehicle. The suspicion is that the ganja was brought from Mangalore.
Investigations are in progress.
