Kasargod: Son arrested for killing mother over trivial issue

Kasargod, Oct 14, 2023: Police in Neeleshwar have arrested a 34 year old man for killing his very own mother by hitting her with a wooden club on October 12, Thursday morning.

 

The accused is Sujith (34) while the unfortunate victim is Rukmini (63). It is learnt, a quarrel between the mother and son over the use of mobile phone resulted in the murder.

Rukmini who sustained serious head injuries was immediately rushed to the hospital but of no avail.

The accused was subject to medical examination and doctors said he suffered from mental ailment. He has been shifted to a mental health treatment centre at Kuiravetta.
