Mangalore, Jan 31, 2013 : Sri Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet in Mangalore is all set for the Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka ritual to be held at the Temple from February 1 to 3 in connection with the first anniversary of the Punah Pratishta Mahotsav of the Temple.
Sri Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji, the junior pontiff of the Sri Kashi Mutt Samsthan who arrived in the city to take part in the rituals, was brought to the temple in a palanquin procession from Swadeshi Stores to the Temple on the evening of January 31, Wednesday.
CL Shenoy, Managing Trustee of the Temple, Nityananda Nayak, Madhava Kamath and several members of the GSB community were present. The seer will be camping at the temple for six days.
The Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka rituals will be held in the presence and guidance of Sri Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji, senior Pontiff of the Kashi Mutt Samsthan and his disciple and anointed successor Sri Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji.
