Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) will revert to its summer schedule from November 1. During the rainy season, from June 10 to October 31, KRCL changes the train schedule, enabling trains to run slower during these months in order to prevent railway accidents.
Mr. R. L. Dias, the president of the Railway Yatri Sangha Udupi, said that commuters must consult the revised schedules and avoid confusion. The trains that start from their points of origin before the midnight of October 31 will follow the monsoon schedule; and the trains that depart after midnight on November 1 from any station, but use the tracks of Konkan Railway will follow the revised schedules.
