Kottary thanks DK for supporting his party. Blames congress for malpractices

Mangalore, January 5: BJP District Unit President Padmanabha Kottary thanked the people of the district for supporting his party. He was addressing reporters at the district office of the BJP.

He also told reporters that people in rural areas were impressed with the party and its achievements and do not believe the baseless allegations leveled against the party by Congress and JD (S) leaders. He said that the BJP emerged victorious because of its people friendliness and hard work.

Stating that the BJP’s responsibilities have increased with its victory, he urged the elected BJP-supported members of the Panchayat to focus on the provision of basic amenities such as good roads, drinking water, and electricity supply.

Responding to the allegations of Ramananth Rai, the Congress district president, Kottary said that the Congress stands guilty of election malpractices such as deletion of BJP supporters’ names from the voters’ list. He also accused the Congress that it had paid people in several constituencies to vote for it.

BJP leaders such as Captain Ganesh Karnik, Nagaraj Shetty, Nithin Kumar, Sulochana Bhat, Sathish Kumpala, Monappa Bhandary, and Pushpalatha Gatty.
