Kumble: 15 passengers injured when bus collided with lorry

Mangalore, Nov 4, 2011: Fifteen passengers were injured when a KSRTC bus dashed head on against a lorry on the national highway at Kumble near Kumble Devi Talkies today at 8:30 a.m.

The victims are Mallika (40) of Bekoor, Misriya (23) of Pachlampare, Bhaskar (65) of Krishnanagar, Priya (24) of Uppala, Sameer (28) of Mogral, Manjunatha (30) of Kumble, Sathish (28) of Manjeshwar, Narayana (35) of Madhur, Vishwanath (48), Anish, Akshay (18), Vishwanatha (30) of Kotekar, Jeevan, and Rohith of Maharashtra, the driver of the lorry.

 

 

The injured are now recovering in nearby hospitals. The KSRTC bus was plying to Kasargod from Mangalore and the lorry was taking rubber sheets to Mangalore. There was a traffic block for a long time after the accident.
