Kumble: Two-Year-Old Child Dies After Pistachio Shell Gets Stuck in Throat

Kasargod, Jan 12, 2025: In a heartbreaking incident, a two-year-old child died after a pistachio shell got lodged in the throat in Kumble on Saturday evening.

The deceased child has been identified as Anas, the son of Anwar and Meharoofa, residents of Bhaskar Nagar in Kumble. The mishap occurred when the child was eating pistachios, and a shell got stuck in his throat. Family members managed to remove part of the shell and rushed him to the hospital.

Doctors, after examining the child, informed the family that there were no foreign objects remaining in the throat, and the child was brought back home. However, on Sunday morning, the child experienced breathing difficulties. Despite being taken to the hospital again, his life could not be saved.
