Kundapur: Two booked for assaulting police in Gulvadi

Kundapur, July 3, 2022: Two men were booked by Koppa police on Saturday allegedly abusing and assaulting police personnel on Saturday at Gulvadi.

The police have arrested the one of the accused identified as Abdul Ravoof. Another accused Nizam is still absconding.

It is said that Koppa SI Srinath Reddy, ASI Ganga Shetty along with personnel Prashant and Amit Chowgule had gone to Kundapur to question an accused named Danish. When they reached his residence, Danish’s father Iqbal said that Danish had gone to Koteshwar in his vehicle.

Police were on their way to Koteshwar when accused Ravoof and Nizam waylaid their vehicle and began abusing the cops. The accused also pelted stones at the police officials.
