Laksha Deepotsava of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala commences today

Dharmasthala, Dec 10, 2020:   Shree Manjunatha Swami Temple at Dharmasthala is  all decked for the Laksha Deepotsava which begins from today.  The 88th Sarva Dharma Sammelana and Sahitya Sammelan are scheduled to be held on December 13 and 14.

 

The celebrations will be simple this year and all measures would be taken to follow Covid guidelines.  The Laksha Deepotsava will commence with the Hosakatte Utsav  of  Shree Manjunatha Swami of December 10 and conclude with  Gaurimarukatte Utsav on December 24.

The shrine as well as the  town have been illuminated for the celebrations.  In view of the  Covid regulations, there will be no exhibition or roadside stalls this time during the festival and all religious and cultural programmes to be held in the shrine will be available live in the YouTube channel Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala,  Namma Kudla and  Shree Shankera TV.

The Dharmasthala Laksha Deepotsava Padayatri Samithi will be taking out its 8th Padayatra from Ujire to Dharmasthala this evening.
