Live demo on handling emergencies conducted at St Agnes College grounds

Mangalore, Dec 14, 2012: A mock drill aimed at enlightening the students on disaster management and helping them tackle emergency situations , was organized by the Fire Services Department and Home Guards at St Agnes College Grounds in Mangalore on December 13, Thursday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The activities were held under the supervision of Varadarajan, Chief Fire Services Officer, Nidarsh Hegde, Home Guards Commandant,   Sr. Prem, Principal of St Agnes College and Ida Barboza, Headmistress of St Agnes High School.

A large number of students actively participated in the demonstration  on fire extinguishing, rescuing people in times of crisis, handling emergencies and providing first aid.

Prior to the demonstration, a procession  was taken out from Mallikatta to the college Grounds. The procession comprising NCC cadets, Home Guards, police ban, students of MIFT and St Agnes as well as fire service personnel, was flagged off by MCC Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar.
