Lokayukta team raids illegal stone quarries at Niddodi

Mangaluru, December 03, 2024: Lokayukta officials have raided stone quarries at Niddodi which were operating without valid license on December 3, Tuesday morning. The raid was undertaken by a team led by Deputy Lokayukta Veerappa.

The raid followed information that the quarries were operating unauthorizedly in the patta land despite expiry of license term.

As soon as the raid took place, the workers at the site escaped from the spot. A case has been registered and the team directed the Moodbidri police to seize the equipment found at the spot.
