Highlighting concerns over national security, Suvarna emphasized the seriousness of the situation, particularly given Malpe’s prominence as one of the largest fishing harbors. He warned of the potential existence of a broader network involved in facilitating the illegal settlement of Bangladeshi nationals in the area. Suvarna urged the police to arrest and interrogate those assisting these illegal immigrants.

The MLA also pointed out the rising public unease in Udupi, a globally recognized center for education, fisheries, healthcare, tourism, and banking. He called for swift government action to dismantle the network behind these activities and restore public trust. To address the wider issue of illegal foreign nationals residing in the coastal region, Suvarna proposed a special operation to track them down. He also plans to appeal to the central government to involve the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in exposing the network responsible for producing fake documents and facilitating illegal entry into the country.
