MP urges Union Minister Nadda to sanction Government Medical College for Udupi

Udupi, December 13, 2024: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Kota Srinivasa Poojary met Union Minister J P Nadda in New Delhi on December 13, Friday and requested the minister to sanction a full-fledged government medical college to Udupi district.

In a memorandum submitted to the minister, the MP highlighted how Udupi district has emerged a hub of education apart from being a pilgrim centre and tourist destination. The memorandum said a government medical college was the need of the hour for talented students from economically backward families.

The Union Minister who accepted the memorandum assured to consider the demand.
