Man found dead at Thota Bengre; murder suspected

Mangaluru, September 23, 2024: A man was found dead on the sea shore near the estuary at Thota Bengre. It is suspected that he was murdered.

The deceased is Muttu Basavaraj Vaddar alias Mudukappa of Bagalkot. He was residing all alone in a rented house at Thota Bengre since several years and was a labourer.

Injury marks have been found in the hands, legs and forehead of the body. It is suspected that Muttu who was an alcoholic might have picked up a quarrel with someone culminating in his murder.

Panambur police have visited the spot.
