Man gets 5 years jail for sexual abuse of minor girl

Mangaluru, Jan 16, 2023: The Additional District and Sessions Court (POCSO) and FTSC 1 court has sentenced a man to  five years of imprisonment in a case of sexual harassment of a minor girl.

 

The convict is Shekhar alias J D Chandrashekhar of Bejai Kapikad.  A complaint was lodged against him alleging that he had sexually assaulted the girl while doing painting works at the Hathill Judges Quarters parking area. A case was registered in Women’s Police Station and a charge sheet was filed by SI Srikala.

The court has also ordered the convict to pay a compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the victim.
