Man loses money after answering spam call

Uppinangady, December 13, 2024: In yet another case of cyber crime, a man has lost money soon after he answered a call suspected to be scam.

On Thursday, a media person received a call and he tried to answer but the call got disconnected immediately. Soon after, he received a message regarding transfer of money. On enquiry he learnt a sum of Rs 161 was transferred and another Rs 14,839 did not get transferred due to lack of balance.

Later the person received another call from the same number, but he did not answer the call. A complaint has been lodged with the cyber crime police.
