Pointing out that the post of Lokayukta has been  lying vacant in the state since the past one and a half years, the memorandum alleged  that the  BJP leaders who spoke volumes against corruption on public platforms, have failed to see to it that a Lokayukta was appointed in a state ruled by the party.

It also strongly condemned the failure of the state government to suspend the 750 officials named in the  mines report of erstwhile Lokayukta Santosh Hegde.

The memorandum further said the failure of the government to even appoint  a Chairman to the Human Rights commission has hit hard the poor and the oppressed sections of the society. It also alleged that there has been a complete breakdown of the administrative machinery  in the state and demanded the appointment of a Lokayukta and SHRC Chairman at the earliest.
