Mangalore: Lions Club to host ’Rang Barse-2013’ on Oct 2

Mangalore, Sep 30, 2013: Lions Club International District 317D will organize ’Rang Barse-2013,’ a painting exhibition and Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations at Lions Seva Mandir, Mallikatta on October 2, Wednesday.

Speaking at the press meet held at press club on Sep 30, Monday, District Cultural Coordinator Lion Jnaneshwari S.Joshi said that renowned artist Prashanth Shetty will paint accordance to the patriotic songs sung by Lions singers at the special programme ‘Kavana Kuncha’.

She also said that the programmes aims to encourage the artists and foster a sense of patriotism among the people.

Lion K.C.Prabhu, District Governor 317 D will inaugurate the event, while Vishnu Shevgoor, president, Karavali Chitrakala Chavadi will be the chief guest.

Former Chief Security Officer Col.Prem Kumar Shetty, Prashanth Shetty and Harischandra Shetty will be the guests of honour. 

The event will also display the artworks of Surya Achar Vittal, Chukki Chithra Kalavida, Anil Devadiga, Dinesh Holla, Harish Kodialbail, Jeevan A.S., Permude Mohan Kuma, Rajendra Kedige, Reshma Shetty, Santhosh Andrade, Syed Asif Ali and Veena Srinivas, she said. 

Lion K.C.Prabhu, Lion Philip Pereira, Lion Chandrahasa Shetty and Lion Umanath were also present.
