Mangalore : Scientica 2013 inaugurated at Canara College

Mangalore Jan 29, 2013  : Scientica  2013, a state level  inter-collegiate science event  featuring exhibition and contests, was inaugurated at the Canara First Grade College on January 28, Monday by Dr KV Rao, Director of the Scientific Research Centre  of Pilikula Nisargadhama.

 

 

In his inaugural address Dr Rao advancement of scientific technology has made life much more easier for  man in the recent  times and urged the students to evince more interest in science and develop a scientific temperament.

 SS Kamath, President of Canara High School Association, who presided over the function said  the world could register revolutionary progress owing to science and technology. At the same time he regretted the declining interest in scientific research in the recent times.

Dr Nandini M, Professor in KMC Medical College, who was present as a chief guest. Prof. M Satish Bhat, Principal, Vijetha Bhat, Lecturer and Co-ordinator of the event, Student representatives Manjunath, Zihad and others were present.
