Mangalore: Truck transporting motorbikes overturns at Kottara

Mangalore, Jan10,2013:  A truck  laden with as many as 61 new motorbikes to be supplied to a dealer in Calicut, overturned  at Kottara Cross on January 9, Wednesday  at around 10 pm. However, the driver as well as the cleaner of the truck escaped unhurt in the mishap.

The accident took  place when the truck driver, in a bid to avoid a speeding bus from hitting the truck from behind,  took the vehicle towards the left.  The truck  from Maharashtra was heading towards Calicut.

Traffic West Police have registered a case and are conducting investigations.
