Mangalore : VHP, Bhajrangdal protest against Owaisi speech

Mangalore, Jan 7,2013: The  Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bhajrangdal staged a protest in front of the DC office in Mangalore on January 7, Monday  to condemn the inflammatory speech delivered by Andhra MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi  at Hyderabad last month.

The protestors alleged that such speeches aimed at disrupting peace and harmony in the society and dividing the nation on communal lines  need to be strongly condemned. They demanded an unconditional apology from the MLA and also his resignation.

The agitators also urged the government to initiate stern action against the MLA  and warned of severe nationwide protest otherwise. An effigy of Owaisi  was also burnt by the protestors.

Gopal  Kuttar, Mangalore unit VHP Secretary, Bhujanga Kulal, Bhajrangdal leader and others took part in the protest.
