Mangalore gearing up for Christmas celebrations

Mangalore, Dec 21, 2012 : The big day of Christmas is just round the corner and the city of Mangalore is gearing up for the festival. Christian households, various hotels in the city as well as different organizations are making elaborate arrangements to celebrate the festival with the true spirit.

Churches in Mangalore too are adorned to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ and to usher in the New Year. The historic Milagres Church, the Rosario Cathedral, Cordel Church, Kulshekhar and many more are gearing up for the festivities.
Christian brethren are busy shopping to celebrate the festival of joy with great endeavour. Sweet shops and bakeries in Mangalore are a bee hive of activity and are making  brisk business. Christmas cakes rule the scene with the demand for the cakes rising as Christmas is nearing.

 

 

 

Colourful stars, graceful decoratives,X’mas cards etc are in high demand in the stores. Cribs are an integral part of Christmas and many households are busy making purchases to make a wonderful crib that would adorn in the front portion of their houses reflecting the sequence of the birth of Jesus Christ. Attractive cribs are also placed in front of Churches and this itself is a wonderful part of Christmas celebrations.

It is a festival of joy, giving and sharing and let this festival usher in peace and harmony in the society.
