Mangalore girl to participate in Special Olympics World Summer Games

Mangalore, Jan 7: Parmila Joyce Pinto, the daughter of Robert and Philomena Pinto, has been chosen to participate in the Special Olympics World Summer Games, which are scheduled to be held in June 2011 at Athens in Greece.

 

 

 

Pramila Pinto had attended the pre Olympics selection camps held in Pondicherry and Hyderabad. She has been selected in the roller skating event. Currently, she is under training for the third pre Olympic Camp, scheduled to be held on February 21 – 27 in Haryana. Ms Shiny MC, her physical educator, is training Pramila daily.

Ms. Remedia D’Souza, the managing trustee; Sr. Vinny Gonsalves, the principal; and the staff members of Manasa Rehabilitation Centre, where Pramila learns, have conveyed their best wishes to Pramila.
