Mangaluru: 11 air bullets found in python’s stomach

Mangaluru, April 22, 2024: A python which was suffering  after a net got entangled in its neck while it was trying to swallow a cat, was rescued. An x-ray examination of its stomach found eleven air bullets in its stomach. Two of them have been removed by wildlife veterinarian Dr Yashaswi.

 

It is believed that the air bullets were shot at the python many years ago as skin too had developed around them.

The python was preying a Persian cat at Anegundi when it was noticed by a local resident who informed the Forest Department.

Presently the python is under treatment and is recovering.
