Mangaluru: 2 arrested for shooting incident at second hand goods shop

Mangaluru, January 10, 2025: Police have arrested two persons in connection with a shooting incident at a second hand goods shop at Vamanjoor on January 6. Those arrested are Badruddin and Imran, both rowdy sheeters.

Earlier, it was claimed that a person named Safwan was injured after an accidental misfire. However investigations revealed that Safwan’s injuries were not self-inflicted. Later on investigations it revealed that Badruddin and Imran were responsible for it.

 The shop is owned by Badruddin. Investigations are underway to find out why the pistol was in the shop without any permission.

It is learnt Imran had purchased the gun from a Kerala man and had handed it over to Badruddin. Investigations are also underway to know why Safwan who was injured in the incident tried to mislead the police stating that the gun had misfired.
